Using excerpts from the Perkins Diary as guides, students will interpret a day in the life of merchant Simeon Perkins by making their own diary entries and presenting them to their fellow classmates. Included in the program are a take home diary and practical experience with quill pens and ink. The students will partner to learn the colonial pastime of silhouette drawing.
